Snails

Snails . . . I hate them!

Before leaving here last Thursday morning, we put this lovely potted flower in the front yard garden where it would be watered automatically. Lots of water is required for this one. So when we returned home Saturday afternoon, we learned that the plant had been nourishment for the snails. I just hate 'em.

I've been told that crushed egg shells spread throughout the garden, hinders snails. The only problem is it takes a ton of eggs to gather enough crushed shells to cover the soil in the garden. I refuse to use the snail poison that kills dogs and cats when they get into the garden and eat it.
