Remembrance
Today is Remembrance Sunday and so many of you have written such moving thoughts that it made me think too!
Since my Grandson was born I have been increasingly aware of the passage of time and I have become more interested in genealogy. I have been on a course and have started making enquiries. This is a family portrait taken in about 1929. It shows my grandparents and their four children. The little girl on the stool grew up to be my Mum and the smallest of the boys died of diptheria shortly after this portrait was taken. This portrait has been on our wall for many years and I never tire of looking at it.
Memories are precious things and remembering is such an important part of our lives. Unfortunately the older we get the more memories we collect. No wonder my head feels full most of the time!
