Circus in town

Roll up, roll up the circus is in town in the form of a scarecrow festival in people gardens. As you can see a lot of trouble and effect was made, lots had moving parts and bits for the kids to enjoy.
In the bottom left hand corner is the bus that was being used to shuttle people around to visit the various gardens, yes it really was that big an affair.
This morning I also visited a walled garden which is being restored to its former glory, lots of lovely produce were being sold cheaply and also delicious cakes were being sold from the produce, I purchased some fresh potatoes, runner beans, and a slice of carrot cake and chocolate and beetroot cake, yes the beetroot and chocolate did go well together. I was also allowed to help myself to lots of windfall apples, from which an cobbler is being made.
