Nothing's simple
I have been neglecting Blipfoto for a over a week.
Why?
I have been exhausted trying to learn Windows 10 ( not used Windows since XP) and starting to learn Lightroom and Photoshop but haven't got much done with those yet.
For the record this is a brand new out of the box Dell Desktop with Windows 10 installed. I thought I was being so clever waiting until I could replace the old PC with Windows 10 installed by someone else :-) rather than running upgrade from 8.1
Its been a fairly depressing experience very few elements of Windows 10 seem to work as expected ( or at all without setup this, setup that, download this - no not that, this) . The first use involving 'Final Setup' involved a period of the PC screen freezing - the background animation froze even though the hard drive still seemed to be active - this went on so long I no longer believed it was going to start working again. In the end when the hard drive activity seemed to have stopped - I had to press the power button and power off and on again (WHAT A JOKE!)
Even something as simple ( I thought) as saving a photo of the screen
PrtScn - seemed like a winner but no sign of any file anywhere
So yet another Internet Search and it seems I should try CTRL+PrtScn
- no not that one OR WINDOWS Key +PrtScn - that worked but created something call a .PNG file which Lightroom let me import and create this jpg file.
I can see some potential in Windows 10 but the initial experience was awful. Apple systems cost so much more but the ones I have used have mostly (90+% of the time) just worked and updates when required seem to just work and in a way that gives the user confidence that the system will restart after they are run.
SO - I will get back blipping and put some of the photos I have failed to upload on now
