Out of Place

St Maws castle; the pair to Pendennis across the estuary in Falmouth.

Somewhat on a whim we'd taken the ferry across from Falmouth to St Mawes, and then immediately taken another to a place called, confusingly, Place, from where we walked around the headland on the coast path.

The big house at Place (disappointingly not called Place Place) - extra pic - was oddly familiar.  Dates from about the same age as the Dell House, but is even biggerer.

Took the ferry back to St Mawes, explored the castle, and had a Cornish Pastie, as you do.
