Morning Buzz

An early blip from me today. Found this guy flitting from flower to flower. He stayed still long enough for me to snap this.

Can anyone ID him? I think it's a fly rather than a bee or wasp but beyond that no idea!

Edit: I'm no expert but googling suggests it might be an Eristalis sp.
Edit: Vodkaman is an expert and he thinks it's Volucella bombylans. Thanks Dave.
