Evening sunlight above the Karangahake Gorge

We thought a walk along the gorge would be pleasant but for some reason instead of crossing the road we turned right and right again following the sign saying 'Winery'. Not knowing what this meant it was time to find out and a good job we did. The Winery is a restaurant open for lunch and specialising in a few wines, in our case a glass of gewurztraminer. The menu looked excellent but we had eaten at home although the waitress did a good job of telling us that in her opinion it's the best place to eat around here. We will have to return.

On the way home the late afternoon sunshine was welcome although the wind remained cool.
