Bonkers Proms in the Park

The Last Night of the Proms is utterly bonkers!!

I’ve always wanted to go, but of course tickets are like gold dust, so instead I joined the thousands who go to the Proms in the Park concerts across the UK.  Ours was in Singleton Park, Swansea and it was a great evening!  It’s bonkers, all these people with winter coats sitting out in the autumn sunshine for a classical concert, and enjoying wine and a picnic.

Tracey had prepared a fantastic picnic, G&T, root vegetable crisps (which meant I had to try beetroot), a selection of cheeses, crackers, prosciutto ham and then strawberries dipped in dark chocolate.  Absobloomingutely lush!

We did get soaked half way through, when a nasty rain shower decided to appear.  Having rainwater running down the back of your chair, is not a pleasant experience.  Lol!  But it soon disappeared and the rest of the night was dry.

The music was brilliant, the company was the best, and the atmosphere was great and bonkers.  What an awesome evening!  We’ll be back next year.
