Memories in Glass

This stained glass panel has featured in one of my earlier blips, but deserves to be given a second airing because it lives in a window of my study and adds so much colour to my room.
It was a commission made by my friend -of- many -talents in 1998 to use as a glass insert in a door of the old castle. When we moved to the Dower house, the stained glass came too and was framed and rehung in one of my study windows.

It is an illustration in glass of our memories of holidays in the Greek Island of Tilos, and never fails to cheer, especially when the morning sun shines through, leaving a medley of glowing jewel colours on the opposite wall.
