Art in the Street

Today's Blip shows two paintings....out of a choice of sixty......, which are being displayed, hanging from the balconies of houses, in Alfaz del Pi.
The works are by local artists and the pieces are numbered and named. We had a map showing in which streets, the paintings are hanging......so they were easy to find and identify.

The annual display, known as 'Balconades'....is organised by the Town Halls of the four participating towns......'the hangings' begin in Altea in July, moving to Alfaz in September, then to Agost and Benimantell in October.

It's a great idea....to bring art out into the streets and make it accessible to everyone!
