I went to this place today to hear a talk about it & ask questions too.
Very Interesting too I thought.
Originally the 1st Dove to to be found here was built in 1309, additions have been made over the years including a new roof made in 1931 as you can see by the chalk markings on the cross in the roof. See a few extra's, I have I'm sure blipped the building before, but I thought it was some sort of Folley, but no, the Gentry bred Pigeons there & ate the Squab's in Squab Pie.  They wouldn't eat the Adult Pigeon's because the Peasant's ate them, that was far too common for the Gentry to eat!
