The Horticultural

Our village show today and thankfully the weather was fine and quite warm.

Lots of flowers, fruit, vegetables, home produce and craft items on display and a great place to see other villagers.

Tea and cakes and BD1 Band playing make this into a delightful afternoon to sit and pass the time with friends.

There were blippers amongst the winners in the photography section. Wendles56 was the top with a first and second and a trophy, well done to her; airedaleknitter with a second and me, on my first attempt, coming away with a third. It was a bit of a blipmeet too Majikat and Fotojunci were there and airedaleknitter was playing in the band. Great to see young people in the band, two of them doing solos.

Well done too to Wilsden Walker for completing the Great North Run in 2 hours 18!
