Poppies

I saw these this morning - between rain showers - along the roadside where I was examining an HGV instructor.

Couldn't resist a snap as they brightened up an otherwise industrial part of the town of Telford. As you know, I'm not a 'flowery' person on Blip ordinarily, but thought I'd make an exception for these.

Is it just me or are there a lot of poppies around this year?
