American Cemetery
Those of faith or none,
Are honoured by the twilight.
All the same rank now.
Quite a busy day, walked from Grantchester into Cambridge along the river Cam, and back again. Then as the sun was fading we went to the America Cemetery nearby.
As we were late, it was deserted and a glorious sky developed as we wandered around. The cemetery is immaculately kept and a very moving monument. The seemingly endless rows of crosses quite sobering.
There are also beautiful reflective pools edged by red roses (see extras).
Hard to choose an image to blip, but this one seemed to capture the scale somehow
