Lancashire palms

OK, who knows everything or anything about wireless connections? Have just had to restart ours for the sixth time today, so that it swaps channels. 
house is stone, which is a negative, there is a radio phone in the same room and we live next to a road with frequent traffic. Which is the most likely cause of the problem?
(Keep forgetting to try hard wiring...)

Maybe it's the palm trees up the road that cause the problem?
