Culture - Day 2

I woke at 7am (so much for a long lie) with a hell of a noise going on outside.
It occurred to me it was the railway bridge a mile away being demolished.
Knowing there was a BIG crane there I went to have a look and see if there was anything interesting to see.
Apart from a crane with a jib that took 3 shots stitched together to fit in shot there was nothing to see.
I would have had to find a way onto the line and walk to the ex-bridge for that and quite frankly - I couldn't be arsed.
Apparently they are having to raise the bridge height by a whole 600mm to accommodate electrification of the railway line.

It was into the Gallery of Modern Art with its interesting landscaping then across the road to No.2 (past Mr Gormley about to get it in the neck) to see the Escher exhibition.
Once again, the great British public showed their complete lack of politeness, consideration or knowledge.
I was astounded at how many people had paid a fair bit of cash to come into an exhibition and had obviously never even heard of Escher or seen any of his work. The group of pseudointellectuals who were getting in everyone's way and holding up the ever increasing queue were the worst ...... if only they would read the bloody captions instead of discussing in great depth the bleeding obvious which they couldn't work out.

And I thought I was thick!
