Tower
As we said farewell to our holiday house today here's one last shot of Matthew building towers in the living room. Thought we'd remembered to bring everything home with us but now realise I left my phone charger plugged in under the bed and a half eaten ice lolly in the freezer (blame Matthew for the latter).
Trip home a bit slow and faff due to Sunday trains and having to route around rail replacement buses - but huge thanks due to the stationmaster at Stowmarket for helping us with bags while we manoeuvred toddler, cases and 2 bikes off one train, over the bridge and (45 minutes later) onto another.
Matthew actually really liked being home and being able to get all his toys out and did some drawing, had a bath with all his toys in, and baked some brownies. Which are gorgeous but we still don't have the knack of cooking them all the way through in the middle.
Tired out from our hols but pretty relaxed and happy. Matthew concludes that the beach is like a big sandpit and not scary, the sea is scary but still fun, the big slides were a bit too scary yesterday but the zip wire was not nice - it was very nice. And that he wants to ride on more boats and steam trains and have his lunch in a cafe - will call that a success.
