This Year's Orange Booker Prize Winner Is.........

Like a lot of people I know, I love a book shop. Put me in Charing Cross Road London and I'm like a pig in that stuff pigs like to roll around in. So whenever I'm near a bookstore or any place that sells books, I like to browse the shelves to see what is new.

Today I came across this motley crew in the biography section and was struck by the fact that apart from "Professor" Green, I had never heard of any of these people. I now wonder what it is you have to do to get a book deal these days. All these have bargain bin written all over them.

Maybe I should be having a word with Harper Collins I have such a story to tell.
