Harlingen, Never Thought, Never Brought
Harlingen is a very old town. A few hundred years ago, it was an important (small) town where the shipping industry was dictating most of its activities. This building was part of the East India trade. The restored painting on the wall says that it was an wharehouse/depot for wine. It is a restaurant today with the building beautiful restored in original style. The Dutch name is " Nooitgedagt " which means literally " Never Brought " Some people say, when it takes some time before the food is served " Nooit Gebracht " wich stands for " Never Brought "
