What a difference a day makes!

This blip may not make much sense till I fill in with some back blips - I'm s-o-o-o-o behind!

A calmer morning, after not much sleep, while I stayed well clear of HH’s computer problems. Then we all felt it was time to venture out into the world for lunch at our local. HH walked all the way there, scorning the wheelchair lent by friends. He even managed to walk back, after a hearty lunch of picanha (top sirloin steak) and all the trimmings, washed down with a highly alcoholic caipirinha (cane liquor, crushed lemons and sugar). Of course, we had to drop in to our corner gelato shop on the way home, for the first time in over two months. Just like old times

On top of that, we braved the rain in the evening and went to Beatles Night – a very popular annual event, when HH would normally be singing and playing a few numbers with the band. People who had seen him in the hospital or following his progress couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw him walk in. We thought we’d only stay till the interval, but HH wouldn’t budge till the end, and then stayed on to chat to the band.

What a difference....
