Female Bushtit

These are such sweet little brown birds.  This is a female, which can be determined by her light colored eyes.  Males have dark eyes.  Why that is, I have no idea.  Nature has a reason, I'm sure.

I was trying to get a good shot of the finches, and they are acceptable, but I favored this image as the color isn't as glaring as the finches were in the sunlight. And I think this is in better focus, too.  There are some finches in the Extras. 

A day of rest and watching football, of course.  I think we will have BLT's for dinner, since I have plenty of tomatoes from the garden and some good bacon in the fridge.
