Newcastle Track

Today's walk started at Kane Road, Luggate, and took us upstream along the true left of the Clutha River to our lunch spot.  Lyn and I went off the beaten track, and headed up a very steep hill to the Viewpoint, which overlooked the Clutha River, from the mountains in the distance, to the river just below us.  What a beautiful colour the River is at this point in it's journey to the ocean.  The 15 walkers enjoyed their walk in the sun.  I took the above photo from the Viewpoint.
