Gladioli

A dull, overcast day.

This morning I watched a recording of the Men's Singles Tennis Final from New York, which had suffered a three hour rain delay. It was brilliant tennis from start to finish - with the 34 year old Roger Federer just losing out to Novak Djokovic, the Number one seed. Federer never ceases to amaze with his fitness and skill - a true inspiration..

Afternoon in the Study catching up with some paper work when I noticed these gladioli, with their contrasting colours, just outside my window. The garden is still full of lovely colours, so maybe we will get the best of them before Autumn takes hold.
