Stairwell

Popped down after work to The Dean Gallery (that Modern Two business, will it ever catch on?) to check out the Escher exhibition before it ends in a couple of weekends time. I was pretty impressed, especially after having given up on him after my student years when I used to have a couple of his posters on my walls. The real skill and craftsmanship of the printing was very much in evidence and if I'm honest I think I actually preferred all his really early woodcuts rather than the clever-tricksy stuff that he's better known for. Process, process, process, it caught my imagination.
