Manchester Tarts....

Ooooo Matron! Manchester Tarts! I love the classic Manchester pudding made with pastry, raspberry jam, vanilla custard and desiccated coconut. All topped off with a glacé cherry. These delicious examples I found at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, currently running in Manchester. A lot of the new restaurants opening in the city the autumn have scheduled their openings to coincide with this event. Wahaca opened last Friday to great acclaim. Not tried it yet, I will have to see. These tarts were £1.80 each or 3 for £5. Guess what option I went for?
