Oops!

Went in son's bedroom this morning and heard a strange ticking noise. Then I noticed a puddle of water on his bedside table. Looked up to see that the odd ticking sound was water dripping from the ceiling onto his bed.

Bedding, mattress and topper saturated and a very wet carpet beneath.

Seems a pipe to the overflow tank in loft had sprung a leak.

Not a good start to Monday morning but let's look on the bright side. It has initiated a much-needed clear out of the loft and son will get his bedroom decorated.
