Homeless

As every country,  we too have people who - often due to bad luck - have become homeless to the system.

Most of them find a bed for the night in special Salvation Army shelters and we don't know many that have to sleep on the streets.

But at the break of day they have to leave the shelters and find a place to spend the day. This man found a secluded peaceful spot on an itsy bitsy tiny - and hidden away - cemetery, where I spotted him.

I didn't want to disrespect his privacy so I waited till his face was hidden behind the newspaper before I shot him.

Don't under estimate these people, they haven't always been poor nor uneducated. Some have even been very successful and well educated.

This guy for instance probably knows more whats happening in the world than you do, judging by the local and foreign newspapers he brought along and his shoes give a glimpse of better years in the past.

Our politicians are now debating on the amount of political refugees we Dutch are going to shelter in our country - which I consider a human thing to do - but please… don't be blind for the needs of our own people!
