The Whole Story
We decided to visit Cork City for the weekend. Mrs P nor I had ever been before and as I needed to take her away from the house while a surprise bathroom refit was taking place, Cork was probably as far as we could go in Ireland. Mrs P's arthritis and other ailments meant that we needed to change from a shower over the bath to a walk in, and between our daughter Natalie acting as secret project manager and us using codewords etc, to discuss the plan over the last few weeks in preparation, it was all pretty exciting. Added to that, the trip to Kinsale and Cork City to be organised and it was a pretty intense time.
We really enjoyed the city and will be back. Great restaurants and friendly people, some fantastic architecture and the local stout all came together to guarantee success.
On returning home late on Sunday night, Mrs P's face was a picture of delight, even though the builder chap had only finished working ten minutes before we arrived home. There's a video on FB somewhere with Mrs P looking stunned and delighted. All went very well and all thanks too, to Natalie's friends who mucked in to make sure it all went pretty smoothly!
There are six additional shots to this Blip as I struggled to choose a favourite. In the end, it was this cool chap's hat that won the day. I complimented him on his taste, once I had the Blip in the bag. Some very expressive faces...
