The Lowry, Salford

This is the Lyric Theatre, known as The Lowry, in the city of Salford......with hub in the green, and our friends alongside :-)

We went there last night to see the Ukelele Orchestra of GB, together with our friends, neighbours and quiz partners.....we had seen them once before about five years ago in Edinburgh.

I know it sounds a bit quirky, but they are world renown, super talented, both plucking and singing, and oh, their dry wit is to die for!

We went for a lovely meal before the show, in a restaurant called Lime, just across from the theatre.

The show was a sell out, bar one or two seats.....so glad I mentioned it to fellow blipper BVFL33, who plays the Ukelele herself, who managed to get tickets on the last minute. Yay!

Afterwards we had a stroll around media city in the dark, as our friends hadn't been before so seeing it lit up like Blackpool illuminations,
Was quite a sight for them as first timers :-)
