Lull before the storm

It's Sarah's Birthday today and we took her out for tea and cakes in a delightful vintage tea room in Suffolk before we commenced our journey home which started in some weak sunshine, another visit to the Laconheath Air Base viewing area where we actually got to see some F15s landing and de-arming (an extra photo), which went someway to satisfying Mr. T's OAD (Obsessive Aviation Disorder)!!  and a very nice blipmeet with Velorfor at lunchtime.  The weather on our onward journey deteriorated big style though particularly through Leicestershire where very slow progress was made in humungous downpours, thunder and lightning and huge amounts of surface water on the roads making driving conditions most hazardous for miles.  However, we made it home in one piece but tired now after a great weekend with many celebrations!!

I'm back to work tomorrow, but only for three more days.
