Proms in the Park

I had a wonderful time at Proms in the Park. The whole event was a riot of sound and colour with a sea of Union Jacks. I opted for this blip, just one of the thousands who were in the Rule Brittanis spirit, waving their flag with glee.

It was joyous to be part of a crowd of 40000 people of all ages, having a great time together, with drink flowing but without getting lairy and folk getting in to fights. The glorious eccentricity of us Brits firmly on display too.

Whilst I'm not a loyal monarchist , I am proud of our country and people (well, most of them) so it was fun to belt out the classic Last Night of the Proms tunes with gusto.
