Afternoon Tea

Today we went for a ride on ....... you've guessed it; a steam train. Afternoon tea in a 1928 Pullman Carriage while we travelled from Grosmont to Pickering and back, and very nice it was too. The train was being pulled by 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' which is in its last few days of service before it is withdrawn for a major overhaul which will take it out of service for 3-4 years, so I was glad to catch it. If you want to see it, next weekend will be your last chance.

A very wet night and morning - the depth indicator at a nearby ford was showing the water at nearly six feet deep so I decided not to drive through it!
