Adjusting
A strange day.
It was very foggy but still last night when I took my brother to the ferry for his journey home. Today was bright and sunny - the best weather we have had for a couple of weeks. I felt at a bit of a loose end, but got a few jobs done, including mowing some of the lawn.
Our garden seems to be full of hens & chicks now! The older chicks are very tame, and run up to me when they see me. The speckled hen is much more relaxed with the new batch of chicks than she was with the earlier chick. I wonder if this is because it is her second batch of the year, or because she has ten this time, instead of one? Whatever the reason, it is lovely to see them.
Strange conditions around 7pm - rain & very still, with a very orange sun in the sky.
