Japanese Wedding
I visited the Meiji Jingu Temple in Yoyogi Park Tokyo, it is a popular venue for traditional Shinto weddings and although I was only there for an hour or so there were two separate weddings that happened in that time.
The bride is dressed in a white kimono with the groom in black, they walk under a red umbrella, led by two shrine maidens and two priests with all the family following behind.
I believe the main ceremony had already taken place and after this procession and short blessing they all went off for a formal photo.
The photo was organised in typical Japanese style with everyone going exactly where the photographer wanted and waiting patiently until everyone was in exactly the right place for the photo to be taken. A lot more disciplined than some of the weddings I've been at. I've attached my long distance version of the official photo as an extra photo.
