Autumn Hygrangea

I always think that when you see hydrangea blooms fading and drying out, autumn is approaching. I see these every time I go to the gymn like this morning. Some still have their lovely pink colour and some are now a rusty pinky-red.
In the evening we went to see the CinemaLIve production of Opera Australia's Aida on Sydney Harbour.  Although th production was spectacular, the costume design was distracting and on the ridiculous side - a mixture of classical Aida Egyptian costume, Mussolini type military uniforms, men in black suits and sunglasses,a 'pirate of the Caribbean' type costume for Amonasro, and Aida in an enormous dress and headress in a type of Nigerian Yoruba style.
