feet well travelled

oh so small....

This morning started by visiting the local clinic that has good links with Isubilo, where one of my friends friend was about to pop out a baby. She was in the labour ward and told she was 4 centimetres. She wanted me to come and see her friend in the hope of holding the new born baby, but unfortunately she hadn't delivered when we got there. But I think that pregnant women look so beautiful, just like Mother Nature. I do realise that pregnant women do not feel beautiful.

Instead, this was the only tiny little bundle on the ward. How adorable. That came out of a woman! God created that little body, its tiny finger nails, nose and body. All wrapped up in blankets to keep it cosy. I looked at its little fragile body and felt so much love towards it. I can't imagine what it must be like to hold your own creation!

Being on that ward, the quietness and loneliness made me feel for the brave women who were here, just alone, no husbands or boyfriends there to support them or anything, at their most vulnerable hour. My heart went out to them.

In other (less soppy) news, I got my ethical clearance so got on with several interviews with the kids at the programme. So now I have free reign to get fully on with my research. Let the games commence. Thank You Jesus!
