The final full day of the holiday
Our plan was to park the car at Chollerford and walk a small section of the Hadrian’s Wall path before returning on foot to visit Chesters Roman Fort. We made very good progress and walked further than intended so hopped on the hourly bus to get back to the start. £3.50 well spent. Fortunately I’d memorised the timetable :)
A welcome drink and sandwich at Chesters cafe was followed by an interesting wander round the fort ............ and an ice cream.
I’ve never climbed over as many stiles in a day so that’s the reason for today's blip choice.
