Emergency unit

Today I had to follow a training at power plant Harculo which is near the city of Zwolle.
The unit is in deep preservation.
During lunchtime I found myself a safety helmet and strolled around with my point-and-shoot camera.
This is the gasturbine with generator which is only used when there is shortage on the powergrid.

Better in LARGE....

A couple of years ago there was an accident when the rotor was replaced after an overhaul. The brakes of the overhead crane failed and the crane driver did his utmost to stop the thing but without succes. Look here for a short view of the crash.
