Competitive Foraging
Autumn, and forage time is here. The hedgerows are full, and so are the dry and freezer stores at home... but there's always room for more. Not just us out for what they can get though, and I spent a while photographing this fellow before I realised he had a mate underneath! Did you spot him?
Back home then and the Elderberry has moved on from the fermentation bucket to the demijohn, freeing the bucket up for the damsons which are gently bubbling away. Never thought I'd be making wine again, but all the stuff was still in the shed... In the meantime, the raspberry and blackberry jam pots are filling and there may be apple and rhubarb crumble for tea.
But even common green shield bugs have to eat too, eh.
