Why, oh why....

...is there always so much to do before you go away for a break?  Do we just make work for ourselves & does it just seem to become more important because we won't be there to do it later. 

This morning because of the expected heavy rain, and because my canes had collapsed, I went out and stripped the french beans and picked all the ripe tomatoes.  Some of the beans were rather large so I decided that bean and tomato soup would be a good idea.  It's rather nice actually and saves wasting them.  It's in the freezer now.

We didn't have the expected rain.......
