The Mersey

The river Mersey is not what it used to be. The main difference is that it is considerably cleaner and is no longer used as a mains sewer. As a result it is now home to all sorts of aquatic creatures as well as large numbers of birds. This shows one of the many small tributaries that can be seen at low tide.
