How many days have we been here?

One of the group asked this question this afternoon, when it already seemed like more than a day since this morning! 

We were up and off at 0600 in damp drizzle, but, by the time we were set up at Luskentyre Beach, it was fine and the light was great.

We had a late breakfast, eating heartily, then the longer drive north to the west coast of Harris. In fact, we were very near to my next B & B, the one I move on to on Friday.

We found a community hall in Uig (that's the Lewis one not the Skye one) for home cooked lunch and a great little restaurant for an early evening meal. 

I took today's image near to the sea stacks of Mangersta.  I liked the patterns made by the waves.  It was so warm and dry here that it was possible to sit on the ground without acquiring any dampness!

We were at the Calanais stone circle for sunset when the midges had a feast.

It's been a great day.
