Courting Gulls

I took about a zillion shots of this pair of Ring-billed Gulls at the beach today on Assateague. They appeared to be doing some courting, which involved a good deal of bowing and then shouting at each other. It was pretty clear that they weren't fighting - so I'm going to say it was romance.

There was also a lovely soaring adult Bald Eagle above the beach for a while. Can't beat that! And an absolutely spectacular sunset a little while ago. Once we get home I'll put an album on Flickr with a whole lot of photos.
