Flannel Flower babies

Whenever I see Flannel Flowers or Gumnut flowers for that matter I think of May Gibbs.  She had such a talent for capturing the magic of our native plants.  I picked this stem when I was in Port Stephens.  There were lots out in flower there.  It has been sitting in a vase on the kitchen window just waiting to be blipped but my apologies to all you blippers who do flowers so much better than me.

I may be off the air for a few days.  I have a little trip for the weekend planned and am not sure about the reception.  Long lunch tomorrow before I leave.  What could be better!
