Mum has propagated a leaf cut from one of her African Violets, which has ruffled edges to its flowers and is the classic deep violet colour.  She kept the leaf cutting in a tiny glass of water for several weeks on her kitchen ledge, and it developed roots.  Now I've planted it into a pot, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that it will grow into a new plant.
