British Sign Language (Scotland) bill
This morning was spent in the Devolution Committee then in the Chamber for First Minister's Questions. However I spent the afternoon in the Chamber taking part in the final debate and vote on the British Sign Language (Scotland) bill.
The Education and Culture Committee which I chair was the committee that examined the bill so I have been working on it for most of this year. Therefore I was delighted to see the Parliament unanimously support the bill. The reaction of people from the deaf and deafblind community when the bill passed was fantastic.
