Gherkin

My 2nd blip of the Gherkin. I like the way it rises above the older buildings and soars above them.
Took flight back from London to Edinburgh. Total gridlock as I tried to make my way to the airport with rain lashing down and traffic at a standstill. The taxi driver was friendly enough but when the clock hit £33, I asked to be let off at the nearest tube station.
At the airport, I had a modest baguette from one of the cafes there and was shocked when they charged £6+. It is moments like these that I am reminded that London is in a bit of a bubble compared to the rest of the UK.
