Good Grief 49
Good intentions.
My supervisor said to me today, 'you must take some time off for yourself'.
It is said with the best of intentions and I know what she is getting at but that is all I have now, time for myself, mostly. I know it is meant to be about not burning out at work but I often find that I am more likely to crash and burn when not at work. Moments help though. Like this. The beauty of the moment. And my friend got us tickets for a great play, 'Every Brilliant Thing' which was also beautiful in its many ways.
Apropos of none of that, I think I have become aware of a strange story It began somewhere about here although who knows quite where a story really begins. It is a quietly emerging story about two souls who are tentatively becoming friends. One of them has been living in a vacuum, a glass bell jar, all her life ...
It reminds me, now I think of it, of Aristophanes.
