Nottingham Yurt

After a day of work and a meal out, a colleague and I went for a pint in 'Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Inn' which is built into the caves under Nottingham castle. It claims to be the oldest inn in England - somewhat contested by just about every other site on the web. Definitely a very characterful place to stop for a pint.

Wondering back to the hotel later in the evening we came across the preparation for the Nottingham Night of Festivals in the Old Market Square - a 3 day world music festival. Linked to the festival is the Sound of Stories programme, based in a Mongolian Yurt in the square.

An interesting looking group of people were sitting outside the yurt including this young lady who turned out to be Miss Leicester 2012. I have no idea what she was doing with the big skull...
