Fisherman

Chile had an Earthquake yesterday and we had Tsunami warnings for the East coast of New Zealand. One area had a 30cm surge that almost tipped over a fishing boat with her crew sleeping on board tied up in Port. Some really intelligent People who may possibly be lining up to be Prime minister at the next Election ignored warnings and went down to the sea. 30cm is not high it's not big but when it has speed and strength it is extremely unforgiving and people need to remember the sea takes no prisoners, when she takes you there is no coming back.The Tsunami warnings were lifted later today and this man was fishing down at Patiti Point, the fish must have been still following the warning and staying away as none were biting. A big Southerly Front passed through this afternoon but has gone around us. It better be good tomorrow as I am shooting a Wedding and it's all outdoors.
